Due to the death of former President Jimmy Carter, President Joe Biden has designated Jan. 9, the day of Carter’s funeral, as a National Day of Mourning.

All federal offices, including the United States Postal Service, will be closed per the executive order. Banking institutions are not required to follow National Day of Mourning closures.
