ISP investigating misuse of funds from Greene County organization

The Indiana State Police is investigating a report of a possible misuse of funds from an organization in Greene County. The situation involves misuse of money from Linton Lodge #105 Fraternal Order of Police. The Linton F.O.P. serves all members of law enforcement in Greene County.

ISP Sgt. Michael Wood has confirmed an investigation into “misuse of funds” was underway but he said no additional details are available at this stage of the investigation.

Officer Wayman JR Blazier of the Bloomfield Police Department, who serves as President of the Linton F.O.P., also confirmed the investigation.

“The Linton Lodge No. 105 Fraternal Order of Police Executive Board was made aware of the misuse of funds after our August monthly meeting,” said Blazier. “The incident was brought to my attention and the investigation has been turned over to the Indiana State Police.

“The Executive Board is cooperating completely with the ongoing investigation and no further details can be released at this time,” said Blazier. “The identity of the member in question will not be named. Any and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
