Hydrant flushing scheduled in Linton

Beginning on the evening of Sunday, October 25, 2026, the Linton Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants. The flushing process will take four nights to complete the entire system. The flushing will begin each night at 8 p.m. and will last until 6 a.m. the following mornings. Therefore, all flushing activities will be completed by 6 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

During the process, customers may notice a discoloration of the water. It is recommended that clothes washing be kept to a minimum during the hours listed above, as discolored water has been known to cause stains in white or light-colored clothing.
