Greene County on Level II travel advisory
/The President of the Greene County Board of Commissioners has moved the Greene County Road Status to Level II or “watch”, according to a press release from the Greene County Emergency Management Agency.
This status means conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. During a “watch” local travel advisory, only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended, and emergency actions plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations, according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security website.
The Commissioners in each county of Indiana set the travel status for their respective county. The status is then, in turn, sent by the county Emergency Management Agency to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security which posts the status on their website.
