Four arrested when officers from five agencies execute search warrant
Four individuals were arrested when officers from several agencies arrived at a residence on West County Road 400 North to execute a search warrant around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2.
The search warrant was served on the residence of Jeffrey E. Schickel located at 14637 West County Road 400 North in the Linton area.
Det. Sgt. James O’Malley of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department said the search warrant was part of an on-going burglary investigation by the sheriff’s department.
The four who were arrested were all booked in on, and have now been in court on, drug charges.
Besides personnel from the sheriff’s department, other agencies who were involved included the Linton Police Department, Jasonville Police Department, Greene County Drug Task Force and the Indiana State Police.
Those arrested, and their charges, include:
Jeffrey Edward Schickel, 54, Linton. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. He was first held without bond pending his court appearance. When he appeared for his initial hearing today, Tuesday, March 5, his bond was set at $10,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed.
Meagan Leeann Schickel, 32, Linton. She is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. She was first held without bond pending her court appearance. When she appeared for her initial hearing today, Tuesday, March 5, her bond was set at $10,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Deputy Public Defender David Hunter was appointed to represent her.
Stacey Lynn May, 37, Jasonville. She is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. She was first held without bond pending her court appearance. When she appeared for her initial hearing today, Tuesday, March 5, her bond was set at $25,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Deputy Public Defender Tim Shonk was appointed to represent her.
Stacy Jo Bowers, 42, Linton. She is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony. She was first held without bond pending her court appearance. When she appeared for her initial hearing today, Tuesday, March 5, her bond was set at $10,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Deputy Public Defender Ashley Dyer was appointed to represent her.
