VIGO COUNTY - On Friday night, July 13, at approximately 9:30, Indiana State Police responded to an armed robbery at the Dollar General Store at 7205 South State Road 46 in Riley.

Preliminary investigation revealed the suspect, a slender male, unknown ethnicity, approximately 5’3”, wearing a white mask with a black mustache, black baggy pants and a gray hooded sweatshirt, entered the store, pointed a black handgun at the cashiers, and demanded money.

After receiving cash from two registers, the suspect fled south from the store with an undisclosed amount of US currency.

A lengthy search of the area by law enforcement did not yield a suspect.

There were a small number of customers and employees in the store at the time, but no injuries were reported.

Anyone with information in this case should contact Trooper Courtland Woodruff or ISP Detective Don Curtis at the Putnamville Post at 765.653.4114.

Assisting were ISP troopers David Petrowski and Rondell Shelton and Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputy David Ewing.

A photo of a very similar mask reportedly worn by the suspect is pictured.

Additional photographic evidence may be released in coming days.
