Elections results are in

The polls closed at 6 p.m. for the Primary Election and the Greene County Voter Registration Office has released final vote totals for Greene County. 

In the race for Greene County Council At-Large, Bryan Woodall, Karen Abrams, and Jerry Frye came out on top. In this race, voters were allowed to select three candidates. Woodall led all with 2,452 votes, which was good for 26.19 percent. Abrams tallied 18.01 percent of the votes with 1,686, while Frye amassed 1,527 votes for 16.31 percent. Hope Ellington received 1,390 votes, Deann Lehman had 1,204, and Larry Watters received 1,102.

In the race for Greene County Commissioner District 1, Edward Michaels came out on top with 59.43 percent as he received 2,243 votes, while challenger Thomas Rhodes received 1,531 votes. 

In the race of Grant Township Precinct Committeeman, Melonie Graves defeated Larry Roseberry Jr., 84 votes to 33. 

For the Republican State Convention Delegate At-Large, voters could select 12 candidates. The 12 candidates receiving the most votes were: Bryan Woodall, Rick Graves, Stuart Dowden, Tammy Woodall, Rhonda Dowden, Mark Bartlow, Julia Bartlow, Melonie Graves, Paul F. Clark II, Jeffrey Ellington, Hope Ellington, and Leonard Huffman.
