An early morning May 3 semi accident on Interstate 69 resulted in one fatality.  

At approximately 2:13 a.m. the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a semi accident on I-69. Upon arrival, the semi was on fire and overturned in a construction area. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, the accident is under investigation and no further details will be released at this time. 

Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Kelly Hutchens is investigating the accident. She was assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police, Eastern Greene Fire Territory, Monroe County Station 39, Greene County Ambulance Service, and Ken’s West Side Towing.
