A Dugger man and woman accused of trespassing at a store in Linton last Sunday morning were arrested by a GCSD deputy. They’ve both been in court this week, charged with trespassing and drug charges.

Ryan Tyler Reynolds, 36, and Lindsey Nicole Reynolds, 31, both from Dugger, were arrested by Deputy Alan Jackson of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday morning, July 5.

Both were in Greene Superior Court yesterday morning, Thursday, July 9, for initial hearings. Bond for Ryan Reynolds was set at $40,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Bond for Lindsey Reynolds was set at $20,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed.

Around 11 a.m. last Sunday, an employee of Walmart contacted the sheriff’s department to report that Ryan Reynolds and Lindsey Reynolds were trespassing on store property and the store wanted them removed. The employee said both of them were restricted from Walmart property due to prior incidents of theft.

When Deputy Jackson arrived, he found Ryan Reynolds sitting in the driver’s seat of a black Chevrolet Tracker parked in a restricted pharmacy-customer-only parking spot. Lindsey Reynolds was inside the store, sitting in an office.

The store provided the deputy with documentation that showed Lindsey Reynolds had signed a form in January of 2018 acknowledging she was not allowed on store property and Ryan Reynolds had signed a form in February of 2015.

Both were taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail where they were booked in before noon.

Deputy Jackson then returned to Walmart – the store wanted the vehicle towed from the pharmacy parking spot. The vehicle was towed and inventoried.

Deputy Jackson reported that during the inventory, deputies found a black plastic tool box with an iPhone box inside that contained a clear plastic ziplock bag containing a crystal substance that later field-tested positive as methamphetamine. The methamphetamine was weighed – 28 grams. The tool box was located within the reach of Ryan Reynolds. During a later interview, he said the meth did not belong to him but he was aware of it. Deputies also found a loaded handgun with eight 9 mm rounds under the driver’s seat where Ryan Reynolds was sitting. During the interview, he allegedly admitted the handgun was his and said he moved the handgun from the center console to underneath the seat when he saw Deputy Jackson’s patrol vehicle. Deputy Jackson reported Ryan Reynolds did not have a valid license to possess a handgun.

On the passenger side of the vehicle, deputies reported finding a metal toolbox labeled “Lindsey Reynolds” with multiple plastic bags, containers, vials and a smoking device inside. One bag with residue tested positive as methamphetamine, and numerous pills were found including acetaminophen hydrocodone bitartrate, alprazolam and temazepam, all controlled substances. Lindsey Reynolds declined an interview without an attorney.

Ryan Reynolds has been charged with:

• Possession of methamphetamine in the amount of 28 or more grams, a Level 3 felony,

• Carrying a handgun without a license, a Class A misdemeanor, and

• Criminal trespassing, a Class A misdemeanor.

Lindsey Reynolds has been charged with:

• Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony,

• Three counts of possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor,

• Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor, and

• Criminal trespassing, a Class A misdemeanor.
