Drinking water, non-potable water available for Jasonville, Coalmont, Hymera residents
Drinking water and water for flushing toilets is available for residents of Jasonville and Coalmont following a fire at Jasonville’s water treatment plant on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 8.
The City of Jasonville is offering bottled water and non-potable water for flushing toilets. It’s available behind the Jasonville Water Department. Those wishing to pick up water are asked to enter off of State Road 48 to Washington Street and exit onto Cook Street.
The Jasonville Assembly of God has partnered with Convoy of Hope and will have a drive-thru water distribution on Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m. The line will begin across from the church on South Park Ave.
Bottled water and non-potable water is also available at the Lewis Township Fire House in Coalmont.
The Sullivan County Park and Lake Board has opened the Lover’s Lane bathhouse to the Hymera & Jasonville residents that are without water to shower. It will be open daily until 10 p.m.
