Carroll County – After an extensive investigation, the Delphi Double Homicide Task Force made an arrest for the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German.
Read MoreLast week, anonymous sources alerted media of a break in the Delphi murder case involving the arrest of a suspect. Then last Friday, the Indiana State Police announced a press conference will be held this week to announce the developments in the 2017 murders of Libby German and Abby Williams. Late yesterday, ISP issued an advisory to media that the conference is scheduled for this morning, Monday, October 31, at 10 a.m. at the Delphi United Methodist Church. According to the advisory received by GreeneStreets, the event will be broadcast live on Facebook. (Link is included in this post.) Of course, it is sure to be carried live by numerous television news media.

Edna M. (Mills) Crosby, 86, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:02 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2026 in her home.
Gerald DeVore, 89, of Lyons, Indiana, passed away on March 26, 2026 at 4:56 AM at home, with family by his side. He was born on February 19, 1937 in Swifton, Arkansas to Roe and Bessie (Dunham) DeVore and was raised by Ed and Hannah Hennessee. Gerald married the love of his life, Reavia L. (Savage) DeVore on June 26, 1954.
Vera Joan Harroll, of Switz City, Indiana, passed from this life, on March 26, 2026 at The Waters of Huntingburg. She was born on October 23, 1933 in Poland, Indiana to Renos and Ruth (Harris) Rubeck. Joan married Larry Leon Waskom and then after his passing, she met and married Lowell E. ‘Hap’ Harroll.
Jo Ann Sprinkle Haines, 78, formally of Linton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Oak Village Health Care Center in Oaktown, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born on March 26, 1947, in Sullivan, Indiana, the daughter of Ralph and Wilma (Baker) Sprinkle.
Cody Bryant Sluder, 37, of Jasonville, IN entered into eternal rest on March 16, 2026. He began his life journey on June 14, 1988 in Sullivan, the son of Bryan and Lisa Secrest Sluder.
Katherine Louise (Page) Huntington, 77, of Bloomfield passed away Wednesday March 11, 2026 at her residence.
Jeffrey Lee Clark, 67, of Linton, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, March 16, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Born on July 9, 1958, in Washington, Indiana, Jeff was the beloved son of William Joseph Clark, Sr. and Carolyn Sue (Brochin) Harsha.
Clyde “Toad” Groomer, 81, of Springville, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Born September 23, 1944, to Clyde and Iva Jean (Sullivan) Groomer, he owned and operated Bloomfield Sales and worked as a paper carrier for the Herald Times. He married Pat in 1970, and together they raised four boys. In his later years, he was loved by Lois Bingham and her children.
Kathy J. Wolfe, 69, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Serenity Springs Senior Living in Jasonville, surrounded by love and gentle care.
Patsy "Pat" Charlene (Chambers) Tribby, 87, of Jasonville, IN passed away on March 12, 2026. Pat was born May 17, 1938, to Charles Webster Chambers and Elizabeth Miller (Jones) Chambers at their home in the community of Jericho, Sullivan County, IN.
