A warrant was issued for a Bloomington man accused of calling a Greene County woman and leaving unwanted voicemails in violation of a protective order. He wound up in jail in Bloomington and yesterday was transferred into Greene County.

Daniel Lee Grubb, 31, Bloomington, was booked into the Greene County Jail at 11:29 a.m. yesterday, Tuesday, March 23, on a warrant that was issued for his arrest on Friday, March 12, as a result of an investigation by Deputy Devan Goad of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.

Grubb has been in the Monroe County Jail and was transferred into Greene County to face charges here.

Grubb is facing a preliminary charge of invasion of privacy in violation of a protective order, a Class A misdemeanor.

On February 24, a woman contacted the sheriff’s department and said she has a protective order against Grubb but he keeps calling her.

When Deputy Goad arrived at the woman’s residence, he listened to voicemails Grubb had left for the woman. In one of the voicemails, Grubb told the woman, “Don’t listen to everything you have been told. This is Danny, I don’t give a f--- if you have a restraining order against me or not. Tell my babies I love them and I love you too. I’m about to go to rehab Friday.”

Deputy Goad reported the protective order is a condition of Grubb’s probation in a case in Monroe County. It was issued to him in court in May of 2019.

Grubb was being held without bond pending his appearance in Greene Superior Court for an initial hearing.
