One woman suffered a broken wrist, a fractured facial bone and a concussion when she was allegedly pushed down by another woman during an altercation on the grounds of an apartment complex in Bloomfield.

Robin Earline Bowersock, 55, Bloomfield, was arrested on Monday, May 6, by Deputy Marshal Jordan Allor of the Bloomfield Police Department on a warrant that was issued following an investigation by Allor into an incident that occurred on Friday, April 26.

Officer Allor was dispatched around 6 p.m. that day about a battery at the Shady Grove Apartments on East Church Street in Bloomfield. When he arrived, he talked to a paramedic with the Greene County Ambulance Service who said he was treating a woman for injuries. When he said the suspect was standing in the parking lot and pointed at Robin Bowersock, Bowersock allegedly said loudly, “I pushed her.”

There had been a verbal altercation outside the buildings that turned physical between Bowersock and the injured woman and one witness said she didn’t see it but she heard it and “it was really bad.”

Bowersock said the woman had yelled and cussed at her for 20 minutes, had spit in her face when she was screaming at her and she allegedly said she had wanted to hit the woman but she didn’t. She allegedly admitted she pushed her.

The alleged victim confirmed the two had been in an altercation and said when she was standing at the top of a wheelchair ramp, Bowersock pushed her causing her to fall down the ramp hitting her wrist, head, arm and hip on the ground. On the scene, she said she could barely move her arm and Officer Allor noted redness to the woman’s wrist and an abrasion to her elbow. The paramedic advised her wrist could possibly be broken.

The next day, on April 27, when Officer Allor talked to the woman, he learned she had a fractured wrist, a facial fracture and a concussion. She provided paperwork from Regional Hospital in Terre Haute confirming the fractures. When he spoke with her again on May 1, the woman’s right arm was in a cast from her fingers to her elbow.

On Monday, May 6, a criminal case was filed against Bowersock with a warrant issued for her arrest. She was then taken into custody and booked into the Greene County Jail.

When she appeared in Greene Circuit Court yesterday, May 9, she was charged with battery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 5 felony, a public defender was appointed to represent her and bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. As of late Thursday, she had not posted bond and was still in jail.
