Bloomfield man arrested following reported burglary in Lyons
/A 41-year-old Bloomfield man was arrested Sunday morning after deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress in Lyons.
According to a press release from the Greene County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched at approximately 8:28 a.m. June 14 to a residence on West 500 South.
Upon arrival, deputies, assisted by the Linton Police Department, secured the exterior of the home. Authorities reported observing a man exiting the residence from an upper level. The suspect was ordered to come downstairs and was taken into custody without incident.
Shawn Toon, of Bloomfield, was arrested and preliminarily charged with:
Burglary, a Level 5 felony
Theft, a Class A misdemeanor
Possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor
The Linton Police Department assisted with the investigation.
