A Bloomfield man was arrested last week after a verbal domestic dispute turned physical. A neighbor who heard the ruckus allegedly said there is fighting nonstop at the residence but that day it had gotten out of hand.

Devin Joseph Waggoner, 32, was taken into custody by Deputy Marshal Jordan Allor of the Bloomfield Police Department on Wednesday, July 25.

Officer Allor was dispatched around 9 p.m. to a domestic dispute at a residence on South Washington Street.

Allor spoke with a woman who said she had been in an argument with Waggoner who went outside to leave but once outside, he got into argument with another person.

The verbal altercation between the two escalated into a physical altercation. Allegedly someone started swinging and there was hitting, punching, shoving.

The officer interviewed the woman, a male juvenile, at least two witnesses plus a neighbor, and Waggoner. There was some variation in the details of what took place, depending on the individual interviewed and what they heard or saw.

When Allor spoke with the neighbor, he said he heard a ruckus and heard someone get slammed up against a fence so he walked over to the other side of the fence to make sure nobody was getting hurt. The neighbor added that there is nonstop fighting at the residence and that day it had gotten out of hand.

Waggoner was taken into custody and booked in to the Greene County Jail. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He bonded out and was given a court date.

Waggoner is scheduled to appear at an initial hearing next Monday, August 6, to be charged with disorderly conduct – engaging in fighting or tumultuous conduct, a Class B misdemeanor.
