Authorities investigating fatal shooting in Greene County

Authorities are investigating an incident that resulted in the shooting death of one person Thursday night in Greene County.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:31 p.m. Aug. 6 on State Road 59 South near County Road 200 South, according to information released by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers with the sheriff’s department, Indiana State Police and Greene County Prosecutor’s Office are involved in the investigation.

Authorities said there is no risk to the public. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details are being released at this time.
