Arrest warrant out for Solsberry man accused of child molesting
A 22-year-old Solsberry man is wanted in a case of alleged child molesting and sexual harassment of a teen victim over the past three years.
A warrant for the arrest of Austin C. Feltner was issued last week after Greene County Prosecutor Jarrod Holtsclaw filed two counts of child molesting against Feltner, both Level 3 felonies, in Greene Circuit Court.
An investigation began late on August 26 when a family member of an alleged 15-year-old victim contacted the sheriff’s department to report a sexual assault on the victim, allegedly by Feltner.
Greene County Sheriff’s Detective Shawn Cullison and Deputy Davis Aerne were dispatched and took the initial report from the reporting party and the teen victim, who alleged that Feltner had been sexually harassing the victim for the past three years.
Det. Cullison then interviewed Feltner at the sheriff’s department and said Feltner first denied any sexual activities with the victim then later admitted to an earlier incident.
The teen and the relative were interviewed further by Greene County Department of Child Services Caseworker Camelia Seaman and Greene County Prosecutor’s Investigator Julie Criger. Det. Cullison reported that during that interview, the teen shared information and details about verbal and physical sexual advances and inappropriate behavior that had occurred numerous times over a period of three years, starting when the child was 12.
Last Tuesday, September 11, the prosecutor filed the criminal case against Feltner in Greene Circuit Court and the warrant for his arrest was issued later the same day.
Judge Erik Allen specified that when Feltner is in custody, his bond for each of the two counts will be $15,000 for a total of $30,000.
As of late Monday evening, Feltner had not yet been arrested.
