Since 2015, Jan. 9 has been set aside as National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, a day for citizens to express thanks to law enforcement officers.
National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was created by multiple organizations to express their gratitude for officers in the United States. In support of their services, citizens are encouraged to do their part in thanking the law enforcers on this day.
